01.Integrated Health Program
NUWOSO improves the health and well-being of vulnerable communities by increasing access to HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, cancer, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, and primary health care services. We promote disease prevention, health education, community awareness, testing, treatment adherence, referrals, psychosocial support, and healthy behaviours through community-based partnerships and integrated health interventions.
02.Sustainable Economic and Livelihood Empowerment
NUWOSO strengthens household resilience by promoting sustainable livelihoods, food security, and economic empowerment. We support women, youth, and vulnerable communities through vocational skills training, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), financial literacy, agribusiness, farming as a business, entrepreneurship, livestock production, and linkages to financial institutions and government programmes.
03.Human Rights, Gender and Protection
NUWOSO promotes human rights, gender equality, and the protection of women, children, and vulnerable groups from violence, abuse, discrimination, and exploitation. We strengthen child protection systems, prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence, provide psychosocial support, legal referrals, family mediation, and advocacy, while empowering communities to create safe, inclusive, and protective environments.
04.Education Services and Support to OVC
NUWOSO promotes inclusive, equitable, and quality education for children, especially orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). We improve access to education through school support, life skills, mentorship, child safeguarding, retention initiatives, and community engagement, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
05.Environment & Climate Change
NUWOSO promotes environmental sustainability and climate resilience by supporting communities to adopt climate-smart agriculture, natural resource conservation, tree planting, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable land management. We empower households to adapt to climate change while protecting ecosystems and improving food security and livelihoods.
06.Coordination and Advocacy
NUWOSO strengthens collaboration among communities, government, civil society, and development partners to influence policies, improve service delivery, and advance the rights of women, children, and vulnerable groups. We promote evidence-based advocacy, coordination, partnerships, networking, and community participation to drive sustainable and inclusive development.
