Economic Empowerment Strategy

NUWOSO’s Economic Empowerment program is designed to create sustainable pathways to financial independence for women and vulnerable community members. We combine vocational training with climate-smart agriculture and micro-entrepreneurship support to ensure long-term resilience and dignity.

Core Services

We offer hands-on vocational training, financial literacy workshops, and access to revolving loan funds. Our services are tailored to the local market needs of Northern Uganda, ensuring participants can start viable businesses immediately.

Key Projects

The 'Green Growth Initiative' empowers 500+ widows through organic farming, while our 'Handcrafts Collective' connects local artisans to national markets, preserving cultural heritage while generating household income.

Measurable Impact

Since 2010, NUWOSO has helped over 2,000 households increase their average monthly income by 60%. Our graduates have established over 150 small-scale enterprises in Agago, Pader, and Kitgum Districts.
